- Municipal scale development, management and monitoring of groundwater
resources
- National scale assessment of groundwater recharge, groundwater
use and groundwater classification, as part of the DWAF project,
Groundwater Resources Assessment Phase II
- Regional scale assessment of Resource Directed Measures (RDM)
as required by the National Water Act, 1998
- Development and testing of guidelines on Integrated Water Resources
Management (IWRM)
- National scale development of groundwater vulnerability maps
- Determination of suitable methods for the mapping of groundwater
dependent ecosystems
- Development of geodatabases, GIS and remote sensing for a range
of projects
- GIS support for a Comprehensive Environmental Plan at the Zambian
Copperbelt
- Development of a decision support system to assist in the allocation
of groundwater licenses by DWAF
